The unseen eight hours
You spend eleven minutes on your skin.
Then eight hours undoing it.
Cotton pulls at hair and takes the serum you just paid for. Silk at 22 momme does neither.
One set · 100-night trial
22 momme · 95 g/m²
6A grade mulberry
One mill · one run
Every piece stated at 22 momme — the way 925 is stamped on silver
Most silk pillowcases don't work. Here is how you tell.
Momme is the weight of the weave, not a marketing word. Below 19 it thins, snags and drinks. Both pairs below were photographed under the same light, same lens, same hour.
01 — Friction
Single hair · 40× macro
Cotton is a short staple fibre with a raised, irregular surface. Hair catches on it and lifts. A long-filament silk of this weight gives the hair nothing to catch on — the strand slides and stays whole.
02 — Absorption
0.5 ml serum · four minutes
What the weave takes, your face does not keep. The denser filament holds the bead on the surface long enough for skin to do the absorbing instead.
less moisture drawn from the surface versus cotton — Independent textile lab, 12 samples
stated weave weight, verified per batch — Mill certificate in every box
nights to sleep on it before you decide — UK returns, used or unused
The Ritual · 21:40
A bundle is a discount. A ritual is a practice.
Mask down, hair up, face on silk — in that order, every night. The set is simply the equipment for it.

The Grade · Specification
Twenty-two is a decision, not a maximum.
Under 19 momme the weave thins: it snags at the seam, wears through at the fold, and drinks what you put on your face. It is the weight most silk sold as silk is cut to.
At 25 it stops behaving like bedding — heavier, warmer against the cheek, slower to dry, and priced accordingly. We weigh 22 as the point where durability and hand stop competing.
Six colours. One weight.
Dyed in the same run as the cloth, so mask, case and scrunchie match across the set. Every colourway is stated at 22 momme — nothing is thinned to hit a price.

Care · Intervals
Silk keeps its weight if you keep the interval.
Wash weekly at 30°, in the wash we make for it. Renew the set once a year — silk you sleep on 365 nights has done its work.
pH-neutral, no enzymes, no optical brighteners. 250 ml is roughly forty washes.
We write to you at eleven months. Keep the old set for travel, or send it back to be re-spun.
Hand wash, roll in a towel, dry flat and away from the radiator.
